This section has been set up to post personal views, thoughts, insights and opinions regarding the more philosophical subjects surrounding life. Please be reminded of the forum guidelines that while all people are free to explain what they see understand and believe, it is requested that responses do not belittle or challenge the posters beliefs (which "always" causes heated debates that no one "ever" wins). All that happens is people start getting angry and abusive.
Instead -- It is expected that you simply offer a "counter belief" (ie: what ever "you" believe, in place of what you disagree with), if you feel strongly that you have more information or more accurate information. Please do not turn this section into a big "religious debate".
This forum was specifically created because I am sick and tired of people bickering and arguing over religion (and other philosophies), and I wont have it here. Any posts that instigate religious debates, or are deemed (by myself) to be antagonistic, will be moved to the Public Trashcan. Any members inability to understand and adhere this request will not be regarded as an acceptable excuse to instigate worthless and tired old debates (that never got any forum anywhere).
Having said the above, this is not necessarily a forum where people need to "skirt" around "religious" discussion, because this isn't even a "religious" forum. I foresee that some people will register, see "Jesus is Lord" here and there and begin prodding, in an attempt to sniff around (and instigate, by proxy) a religious debate. Not necessary. This forum section is for people to explain what they see in the world and to offer information that they deem useful for others. Any member who never offers any views of their own, but repeatedly contradicts and scorns the views of others will likely get a PM from me.
Again, please don't inject your hatreds into the posts of other people who are just trying to convey what they understand to be true. This is especially intolerable when those hatreds are projected onto a poster inaccurately, through ignorance (and projection), which I see all over different forums on a daily basis. I will not accept any excuse, rebuttal or explanation from those who do not understand (or conveniently pretend not to understand) this request.
The "short" of the guideline is: If you disagree with someone. Don't bother trying to discredit them. Offer your own view in place. If what you have stated is logical, reasonable and well put -- any other readers may very well decide to back you up. This is called intelligent discussion. If members spend all their time attacking the views and beliefs of others, while never explaining what they believe ("themselves") or why -- it is always counterproductive and results in misunderstanding arguments and negativity.
