Like just about every other person on planet Earth, I am intrigued by many things that are considered "paranormal". I am also interested in the intricacies of how the world operates, secret societies, secret agendas and what the future holds. I do a LOT of research online about all of these topics. I also (of course) read the Bible, and I can see very clearly that the Bible is correct about a lot of things I am seeing in the world.
The main reason I am so passionately interested in such topics is because of many experiences I have endured and faced in life. Like many people (I am sure), I have experienced premonitions, I have endured what many people refer to as "abduction experiences" -- hundreds of times. I have strong intuitions and so many dreams that I often joke: "I need to wake up to have a REST".
I am thirsty for people to talk to about these experiences, but I have come across a big problem, over and over again. I have found that the vast majority of people online (who are also interested in such topics) tend to pay more attention to New Age Movement philosophies, astrology, tarot cards, channeling and all sorts of other things that I am not interested in. The reason I am not interested in these things is because of what I have come to learn, understand (and agree with) from the spiritual messages of the Holy Bible.
Of course I believe in "discernment" and (what is called) "psychic abilities", because I have experienced such things personally, MANY times. However, I absolutely REFUSE to participate in "channeling" or asking "aliens" for help, information or guidance. I do not pray to "angels" and I will not. I pray to God -- and God only (as the Bible states we should -- which I agree with).
So, basically, on such forums and communities which are centered around such topics, I am almost always the outcast and it doesn't take long before someone pulls me up for mentioning "God" or "Jesus" too many times. This often detracts from any point I was trying to make, which ruins any chance for conversation about what ever it is that I wanted to discuss or share. This detracts from my ability to be able to offer my views, opinions, experiences -- or to be able to contribute to such forums and communities at all.
Therefore, I have created FreedomWorkshop. It is not "Just" for Christians. It is not a place where only Christians are allowed. Everyone is allowed here. But it is a place where those of us who can relate the words of the Bible to our experiences and understandings, to be able to do so, without constantly having to deal with someone complaining about how horrible the Bible is and how terrible religion is -- because the whole "religious debate" thing is really old. I'm over it. All I want is to research and communicate with people who don't ruin constructive communication because of what ever religious hang-ups they have.
I don't really care WHAT people's opinions or views are. Each and every person has reasons for believing what they want to believe. I just don't think it's constructive if one person can never have their say because a band of people always interrupt the thread. That's something that will not be allowed on this forum. I don't care if people bring up New Age Movement philosophies, talk about "reptilians", channeling, etc -- or Biblical teachings. All responses will be made respectfully and intelligently - period. It doesn't matter to me if people do not agree with me, or whether people do not agree with each other. What matters is that people remain objective, polite, respectful and "on topic".
So, consider this forum an "Above Top Secret" or "Project Camelot" forum for "Christians" and other people who can post on a forum without abusing Christians (or anyone else that thinks differently). This is a place where people can offer their views, experiences and opinions without having to worry about a band of regulars beating on those that don't agree with the forum consensus. This is a forum for everyone.
Please note: You are "allowed" to have your view, no matter what that view is. There is no need for anyone on this forum to be banned. I am not a control freak administrator. All I ask is that what ever your view is, that you display it with thought, respect and intelligence. Please be constructive and sincere. That's all I ask. Getting banned from this forum will be HARD. Just offer your opinions sincerely, and if you do not agree with someone else, please provide constructive and objective reasoning. Sarcasm, insults, veiled insults, mockery or anything else that causes the forum to become entangled in negativity will not be welcome. Again, there's NO reason for anyone to be banned and I am not in a hurry to ban anyone. I wish you all the best with your posting, and I am interested to hear your view, no matter what that view is. - Leonard
